San Jose, Calif. -- (PRWeb) - January 12, 2005 - MobileFrame, LLC (www.mobileframe.com), today announced release of version 4.0 of their Configurable Mobile ApplicationTM Product Suite. MobileFrame's solution is the first truly Configurable Mobile ApplicationTM platform in the industry that enables novice users to create and deploy custom mobile applications with no custom programming. Now with the addition of Remote Software Update capability combined with built-in auto device driver recognition, device and software management is simple. Customers will never need to bring devices in from the field to install software updates, regardless of what peripherals or device configurations are deployed. MobileFrame software now enables customers to automatically deploy software updates based on their preferred schedule to any remote mobile device or any group of mobile users.

In addition to Remote Software Update, other features of Release 4.0 include:

• The MobileFrame DesktopTM is now completely customizable. Users can define their own color
  schemes and associate their unique enterprise data with any icon of their own choosing.
• The improved MobileFrame Enterprise Data ManagerTM allows users to create, edit, and delete custom enterprise data items via a point and click interface.
• User defined enterprise data objects will now synchronize and create the underlying data tables automatically.
• MobileFrame Plug In / System Updates ManagerTM. From one interface you can now install MobileFrame plug-ins (workflow and device drivers), or system updates that automatically propagate to the mobile devices and install themselves.
• MobileFrame Enterprise Data ExplorerTM. New features include multiple search criteria, updated interface, and an 'expand all' view for easier navigation.
• MobileFrame Enterprise Data FormTM. New features include ability to see and filter related items. Ability to make changes to item or related items directly on the form and have them all applied (or canceled) at once. Ability to edit associated children records directly.
• Support for MobileFrame Auto UpdateTM. When starting the Desktop, any system updates will automatically be applied.
• A Compact Database function has been added to the File Menu that permits users to compact the client database to recover unused space and create more free memory for the system.
