AGY has 300 machines used to manufacture fiberglass, each of which has 240 associated barcodes on it. Users must be able to scan each barcode and hit the backend database in real time to return values. Data is transmitted to Wonderware's Equipment Operation module. AGY's previous deployment of a custom application was unable to meet AGY's needs, so they turned to MobileFrame. Our solution allows AGY to automate its work in process applications on a single fully integrated mobility platform. Data collected in the warehouse is stored on a handheld device and automatically synchronized to a AGY back office server in real time to return values.
