Boeing Selects MobileFrame's Business SuiteTM to automate their AssetSmart® Inventory Operation
MobileFrame Software is the only Configurable Mobile ApplicationTM in the industry that empowers enterprises to create and manage their own mobile applications
San Jose, Calif. -- June 29, 2006 - MobileFrame, LLC (www.mobileframe.com), the leading provider of Configurable Mobile ApplicationsTM, announced that its Business SuiteTM software has been selected by The Boeing Company to automate their AssetSmart® Inventory System. After issuing a formal RFP, Boeing selected MobileFrame's software because of its ease of use and its ability to rapidly deploy sophisticated mobile applications. MobileFrame's revolutionary Smart ArchitectureTM handles all software programming complexities in the background and permits novice computer users with no IT background to instantly create and deploy sophisticated mobile applications via a user-friendly point and click desktop. Using MobileFrame's software Boeing personnel are creating the mobile application for their AssetSmart® system in 1/10th the time it would take them using conventional software development tools.
The MobileFrame solution allows Boeing to automate any field service process with a single mobility platform. Boeing can instantly automate and deploy an electronic version of any type of Inventory Order or Scheduled Maintenance Request directly to a technician in the field. As the technician completes the Order, barcode scans of the parts used are automatically captured and embedded in the workflow. The technician can also capture photographs and sketches of any items, record voice notes, capture the electronic signatures and print signed copies of Orders. All Orders are automatically updated in the AssetSmart® Inventory. This results in improved efficiency, and immediately enhances the company's bottom line.
MobileFrame's Business SuiteTM is a fully self contained solution that delivers broad functionality out-of-the-box. No custom programming, no third party mobile gateways, synchronization engines or SDK's are required. Data collected in the field is stored on a handheld device and automatically synchronized to the central office when wireless or wired access becomes available. The MobileFrame software operates on any .NET enabled handheld device, including Pocket PC PDA's, Tablet PC's or Laptops.
"MobileFrame's software provides incredible savings to Boeing by eliminating time-consuming, error-prone manual based processes," said Lonny Oswalt, CEO and President of MobileFrame. "We competed against several other mobility companies to win this business, but none of the other providers came close to offering the flexibility and ease of use of MobileFrame. The MobileFrame product offers Boeing the ability to automate all of their manual processes on one standard platform, and the unique ability to make any changes they need on a moments notice."
