Oceanit Selects MobileFrame Software As Their Standard Platform For Environmental Engineering Projects
Oceanit Has Selected MobileFrame's Configurable Mobile ApplicationTM Software
As Its Standard Mobility Platform
San Jose, Calif. -- April 5, 2007 - MobileFrame, LLC (www.mobileframe.com), the leading provider of Configurable Mobile ApplicationsTM, announces that Oceanit Laboratories, Inc., an engineering and scientific firm based in Honolulu, Hawaii has selected MobileFrame's software platform to automate all field data collection for their Environmental Engineering Group. Oceanit is using MobileFrame software as a rapid application development tool to create and deploy field-based data collection applications for environmental engineering projects world wide. MobileFrame is the front-end extension of Oceanit's Management Information System that maintains project environmental data, including measurements, statistical data, GIS information, reports, images and multimedia files. MobileFrame's built-in digital image capture feature is being used in combination with GIS tools such as ESRI's ArcPad so that field-based GIS data can be supported with digital images. Oceanit will also be expanding their applications to take advantage of MobileFrame's built-in digital voice capture feature as an alternative to making typed notations in the field.
MobileFrame's solution enabled Oceanit to automate their entire Management Information System on a single mobility platform. With integrated intelligent networking, prioritized synchronization, remote device configuration and management, and remote software updates all built-in to one software platform, MobileFrame significantly streamlines mobile application development, deployment, and administration. Data collected in the field is stored locally on an encrypted handheld database and automatically synchronized to the central office when wireless or wired access becomes available. MobileFrame's software can be deployed simultaneously in any language, on any .NET handheld computing device, including Pocket PC PDA's, Tablet PC's and Laptops.
"We are pleased to extend our reach into the environmental services vertical," said Lonny Oswalt, MobileFrame's CEO and President. "Our flexible mobile software provides extremely high ROI out of the box, allowing Oceanit to immediately automate their entire environmental data collection process. Our software also provides Oceanit a growth path to deploy a series of planned application upgrades without having to write a single line of custom code."

Oceanit is one of Hawaii's largest and most diversified science and engineering companies. At Oceanit, innovation is possible because we have an environment that allows us to think broadly and across disciplines. Caring for such an environment is not easy but the results are meaningful. Contrast that to a traditional firm where people are restricted and disconnected from each other. Oceanit's multi-disciplinary team of engineers and scientists has been solving complex problems and delivering cost-saving solutions since 1985.
