San Jose, Calif. -- February 16, 2007 - MobileFrame, LLC (www.mobileframe.com), the leading provider of Configurable Mobile Applications^TM, announces that Northwest Horticulture has selected MobileFrame's software platform to automate their Field Survey operations. MSA Systems, a leading provider of turn-key mobility solutions for warehouse, distribution, facility management and sales force automation teamed with MobileFrame to develop this solution. Northwest Horticulture's mobile workers need to record visual observations of plant growth in the field and have access to earlier observations for purposes of comparison. The history of earlier observations for each lot is downloaded and stored on Symbol MC 70 mobile devices. Lots are identified by a Lot ID barcode placed in the greenhouse next to each lot. The barcodes are scanned and the latest observations are recorded on the MC70 each day. Obsolete observations are marked for removal and the updated observation records are synchronized to the MobileFrame server located in Northwest's central office. Northwest Horticulture has greenhouses in two towns: Napton and Mt. Vermont. Data from both greenhouses can be accessed from either greenhouse independently using MobileFrame's built-in dynamic enterprise data feature. All data collected throughout the day is continuously uploaded via a cellular wide area network (WAN) connection to the MobileFrame server giving the Northwest Horticulture central office instant visibility into the status of its crops. MobileFrame's ability to send alert messages and emergency service requests to Northwest's field inspectors provides Northwest Horticulture a real-time interactive field survey system.
